A real step up
The Advanced IQ Test is level 2 of 3. Its 40 questions skip the warm-ups sooner: more rules hidden in each puzzle, multi-step number problems, harder analogies and trickier deductions - but every question still has one clear rule you can explain.
- Pattern reasoning - matrices with two rules at once, overlays and subtractions.
- Numerical reasoning - growing gaps, rates and percentages.
- Verbal & logical reasoning - analogies, vocabulary, syllogisms and classic puzzles.
- Spatial reasoning - rotations, mirror images and paper folding.
Three levels of IQ test
Level 1, the Official IQ Test is the classic: 50 questions that start easy. Level 2, the Advanced IQ Test is harder and shorter. Level 3, the Real IQ Test is the toughest and is scored honestly on the standard IQ scale. Take all three and compare your results.
Sample questions
Two example questions in the style of the Advanced IQ Test. Tap an answer to check it.
Example 1. What number comes next? 3, 5, 9, 17, 33, ...
Each number is doubled and then 1 is taken away: 33 x 2 - 1 = 65.
Example 2. All squares are rectangles. No rectangle is a circle. Which must be true?
Every square is inside the group of rectangles, and rectangles share nothing with circles - so no square is a circle.

Every IQ test in three levels (the Official, the Advanced and the hard Real IQ Test), the Kids IQ Test, a certificate with your name and a PDF brain report for every test, the EQ, Memory, Logic, Verbal, Spatial, Reaction & Focus and Multiple Intelligences tests, seven brain games, a new challenge every day and every week, and the rankings.
Which IQ test is the most accurate?
The Real IQ Test (level 3). It has the hardest questions, adds working memory, and is scored honestly on the standard IQ scale - so most people land between 85 and 115. The Official and Advanced tests are easier and score more generously, which makes them a great confidence boost. No online test replaces a clinical assessment.
How accurate is an online IQ test?
Our tests use the same kinds of questions as professional tests - pattern matrices, number series, analogies, deduction, mental rotation and memory - and score you on the familiar IQ scale. They are a well-designed estimate for self-discovery and fun. Only a licensed psychologist using a test such as the WAIS or Stanford-Binet can give a clinical IQ score.
What is a good IQ score?
The average IQ is 100 by definition, and about two-thirds of people score between 85 and 115. A score of 110-119 is above average, 120-129 is superior, and 130 or more puts you in roughly the top 2% - the level Mensa accepts.
How long does the test take?
The Free IQ Test has 20 questions and takes most people 10 to 15 minutes. The Official IQ Test has 50 questions (45-minute limit); the Advanced and Real IQ Tests have 40 questions each (40-minute limit).
Can I share my result?
Yes - that is half the fun. After the test you get a ready-made image for your Instagram or TikTok story and a square post, plus a link. Brain Club adds a PDF certificate with your name that anyone can verify on our site.
Can I retake the test?
Yes, as often as you like. Scores usually rise a little on a second try because the question styles feel familiar - that is normal, and why professional tests limit retakes.
